Here are the Foundation we offer multiple courses to help you on your emergency communications career path. We have standalone courses, such as Communications Training Officer, 911 Supervision, and Quality Assurance Evaluator. To Enroll in a Course


For individual courses:

To enroll as an individual using a credit or debit card, select the course you want to enroll in below and follow the prompts. If you'd like to enroll multiple users and/or pay by invoice, please fill out the form listed below.

For our all-new course catalog: 

Fill out the enrollment form and you will receive an invoice. From there we will enroll your team members into the course catalog.

Frequently Asked Questions


How long does it take to complete an online course?

All available courses take 4 weeks to complete. The courses consist of reading and online learning, as well as discussion with other learners and completing assignments.

 

Are the courses self-paced?

The online courses are self-paced and able to be completed when it fits your schedule. The course begins on the first of the month and ends on the last day of the month. All assignments must be completed and submitted by the last day of the month to be considered for a grade.

 

Do these online courses have real instructors?

Yes. These courses are taught by the Denise Amber Lee team, led by Halcyon Frank, ENP. There are also teaching assistants who will assist with assignment grading and answering questions.

 

What if I get behind?

Don’t hesitate to reach out if you get behind or have any questions.

 

How will I get my certificate when I complete the course?

Once you have successfully completed the course you will receive a digital copy of your course completion certificate. If you should need another copy for any reason, please reach out to the Foundation.

 

Are there any continuing education requirements?

Once completed there are no continuing education requirements to maintain the certificate unless established by the individual agency where the participant is employed.

 

Are these courses currently on any state approved-training lists?

Due to the newness of these course offerings, they are not yet on any approved-training lists, but the Denise Amber Lee Foundation will be working to have them approved. Feel free to reach out to Halcyon@DeniseAmberLee.org if you have any additional information regarding adding these courses to your state’s training list.

 

How many participants are in each course?

Each session of the course is able to have up to 25 participants. Additional sessions of the course may be added dependent on demand.

 

What is the refund policy?

Full refunds may be issued up until the start of the course. Within the first seven (7) days of the course should a participant not be able to continue, the agency will receive a credit that can be used to enroll an individual in a future course session. No refunds will be issued after the first 7 days of the course.
